Colleagues working within the NIHR Leicester Clinical Research Facility (CRF) welcomed their new Operations Director, Juliette Verheyden this April (2024).
Juliette joins the CRF from Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, where she was the Clinical Research Delivery Manager for Surgery.

During Juliette’s early career she worked as a mental health nurse before switching to research; taking on a role within the taskforce team at the NIHR Clinical Research Network East Midlands.
Juliette gained extensive experience in the delivery of hepatology clinical trials and led on many other studies whilst CRF Lead Research Nurse at the NIHR Nottingham CRF.
Juliette said: “In research we have the luxury of spending more time with our patients and to observe the difference it can make to their lives. It’s a privilege to be part of something that can be so impactful.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Leicester CRF where we aim to increase opportunities so that more UHL patients can access cutting edge treatments.”
